Types of Media
discusses how a particular individual or society is portrayed in public using different types of media
Communication Process
made up of four key components. Those components include encoding, medium of transmission, decoding, and
feedback.

Prerequisites Assessment:

 audio-visual materials (explainer videos, tutorials, etc.)

Introduction

1. Time frame a student is expected to finish learning the lesson (and where to contact the teacher when concerns
arise).

The first three (3) hours will be dedicated to the delivery of content and the guided demonstration of the
evaluation and production of multimedia products. The remaining (1) hour will be allotted for the completion of
the multimedia product evaluation and preparation for the PAA/EAA.

Synchronous Discussion (Face-to-face Learning)


Learners can communicate with their teacher within the school campus.

2. The knowledge (RUA) the student is expected to gain from learning the topic/lesson

 identifies the different sources of information;


 compares potential sources of media and information ;
 interviews an elder from the community regarding indigenous media and
information resource;
 contrast indigenous media to the more common sources of information such as
library, internet, etc.

3. Context where the student is going to apply his/her learning (In what PAA/EAA and personal use?)

 EAA/PAA: CARTOON ANALYSIS, GRAPHIC ORGANIZER, INTERVIEW PRESENTATION

 Proper delivery of their presentation from the Interview using or through media and information
sources in communication.

4. Overview of the Lesson

The Learners will be able to identify the different sources of Media and Information, where Media sources are the
communication tools or channels used to store information or data. They can be physical items such as DVDs, CDs, music
scores and newspapers; or they can be online resources such as streaming services, podcasts, screencasts, online videos,
news apps and of course social media. That may include Library and Indigenous knowledge.

Synthesis:

In this lesson, we learned about the different sources of Media and Information. The used of Media and information
Sources are evident as a communication tool. Since communication is a human need, it is expected that humans
develop certain abilities or literacies in using the different sources of media and information.
