Title:
Water Level Indicator

Components required:
1. Arduino Uno
2. Breadboard
3. 3 LED (red, green, yellow)
4. Buzzer (x1)
5. Jumper wires
6. Water level Sensor
7. 20 ohms resistor (x3)

Introduction:
The system would indicate the level of the water (three different levels) inside a tank
with the help of 3 led and a buzzer to indicate that the tank is full.

Working Principle:
There are three steps:

1. When water tank is empty or there is very less water in the tank, RED led will start
glowing. When water falls into the tank and the water level starts increasing at that
time, RED led stops glowing. Similarly, when the water level in the tank reaches half
level, yellow led starts blinking.

2. When water level in the tank reaches up to full level, GREEN led starts blinking and
Buzzer starts buzzing. This indicates that the water tank is full and the motor
connected to water tank should be turned OFF.

3. Water level sensor gives value into proportional to the water level resistive strip.
Means increase in water level conductivity increases the strip. Thus, resistance
decreases.

4. Water level sensor values at low tank = 100-200

Mid tank = up to 450

full tank = 600

Design:

Step-I: Assemble LED on Breadboard

We use LED of 3 different colors red, yellow, green. RED led indicates
extremely low level of water. YELLOW led indicates half water level and
GREEN led indicates full water level. Connect the cathode of each led to
power rail (blue rail) on breadboard which would be the ground supply.
Connect the anode of led's to different nodes and connect 220 ohms resistor
in series with each LED.

Step-II: Make Connections with Arduino and LED

Make connections for LED with digital pins on arduino as follows:

RED => Digital pin 13

YELLOW => Digital pin 12

GREEN => Digital pin 11

Step-III: Connect the Water Sensor with Arduino

Connect the water level sensor to arduino as follows:

Water Sensor pins => Arduino pins

- => GND

+ => VCC

S => A0

Step-IV: Connect the Buzzer

Connect the buzzer to Digital pin 8 of Arduino.

Step-V: Upload the Program on the Arduino

Upload the sketch to your Arduino uno using the Arduino IDE.
