    INTEGRATION OVERVIEW
    Vertex Tax Links serves as the dynamic integration channel between the Vertex O Series tax
    engine and the Oracle E-Business Suite. The innovative design and configuration options of
    Vertex Tax Links allow tax departments to take control of tax decisions and make changes
    that affect their companies’ revenue with minimal IT assistance. Following Oracle’s
    development standards and guidelines as defined in the Oracle E-Business Third-PartyTax
    Integration guide, Vertex O Series is activated as part of eBTax setup.

    Vertex Tax Links uses PL/SQL, concurrent programs, database and application objects,
    views, and forms personalization. The integration supports both online and batch
    Vertex Cloud support
    processes. The three online integration points between Oracle E-Business Suite and Vertex Tel.: +1.800.281.1900
    are: Calculate Tax, Tax Detail, and Actions Validate. The batch process is for AP Invoice
    Validation.
    Transactional data flows from Oracle E-Business Suite to Vertex Tax Links ; the calculation
    results flow back to Oracle E-Business Suite. To ensure that Oracle eBusiness is the source of
    truth, an AP reconciliation process is provided with Vertex Tax Links.
