i. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the sixty minute period, the students should be able to;

A. PRE-LESSON PRESENTATION

-the students will complete the table by providing necessary information.
(Activity 2: Remember Me)
B. LESSON PROPER
- The teacher introduces to the students the meaning of expanded definition.
- The teacher discusses the components in expanding a definition of a term.
- The teacher tackles the steps to expand a definition of word using the illustration
above.
- The teacher shows a video that will give further discussion from Chapter I- Chapter
V of a Research Report.
- The class will be divided into five groups and they will report a topic assigned to
them. Rubric is used by teacher in order to rate each group’s assigned task.
- The teacher shows different definitions through slide presentation and students will
have to name what technical term that is being referred to. (Activity)
C. APPLICATION
-The students will open their self-learning module on page 19 (Activity 4: Can You
Tell?). The teacher will call names to share their answer for every item in front of the
class. The chosen student give explanation of how s/he arrive will such answer.
- The teacher will tell the class the correct answers for every item.
D. GENERALIZATION
-Ask students to organize the information based from the topic being discussed.
-The students will enumerate the different technical terms that is used in research.
- The teacher will throw 3 questions to wrap up the lesson.

- The teacher gives a 30 item quiz for the topic being discussed. Write your answer on a separate

- The teacher shows a video discussing technical and operational definition of a term
used in a research study.
- The teacher let the student answer Let Us Practice on page 10-11 (Activity)
C. APPLICATION
-The students will open their self-learning module on Let Us Practice More, page 13-14
(Activity 6: Did You Mean It?). The teacher will call names to share their answer for
every item in front of the class. The chosen students give explanation of how s/he
arrived with such answer.
- The teacher will tell the class the correct answers for every item.
D. GENERALIZATION
-Ask students to organize the information based from the topic being discussed.
-The students will distinguish the difference between technical and operational
definition used in research study.
- The teacher will throw 3 questions to wrap up the lesson.
