5 STEPH : A baby was found dead in a carton box dumped on a roadside in Novaliches,

6 : Quezon City. Jeepney driver Manuel Bueno found the baby on July 17 around 3

7 : oclock in the afternoon. It was said that the man on a motorcycle dropped a

8 : carton box on the road. Found on the baby’s body was a tag containing the date

9 : of birth, July 14, and the name of certain Dr. Mateo. Policemen said they were

10 : conducting investigation to know the identity of the person beheind the dumping

11 : of the baby. This is Stephanie Marquez, reporting.*

6 SHANNEN : In barangay Gulod in Novaliches, two residents were killed and two others were

7 : injured in a Tuesday morning fire. The fire started at 12:30 in the morning

8 : reaching the third alarm, and was put out at 1:30 o’clock. Twelve houses were

9 : destroyed with estimated two hundred thousand worth of property damage. One

10 : of the residents injured his leg after jumping off the second floor to escape from

11 : the fire while the other resident had a burned arm and was taken to the hospital.

12 : Quezon City district fire Superintendent, Jesus Fernandez said a neglected lit

13 : cigarette started the fire. This is Shannen Balaba, reporting.*
