Overcoming Challenges
CONTENT STANDARD:
The learner demonstrates understanding of how world literature serves as a way of
expressing and resolving one’s personal conflicts through using strategies in linking,
textual information, repairing or enhancing communication, and crafting formal/informal
word definitions; the ethics and strategies of public speaking; and using of emphasis
markers in persuasive texts.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
The learner transfers learning by composing short persuasive texts using a variety of
techniques/devices and words and expressions that emphasize a point, particularly
modals and reflexive and intensive pronouns.
LEARNING COMPETENCIES:
The learner:
1. determines the effect of textual aids like advance organizers, titles, non-linear
illustrations, etc. on the understanding of a text. EN10RC-Ia-2.15.2
2. determines how connected events contribute to the totality of a material viewed.

According to psychologists, we are conditions with what we call “The
Negative Bias”. To destroy this perception, we must learn how to manage
our emotions to overcome personal challenges.

can handle disappointment every now and then. Overall, you are an
active, happy and positive person. You see life’s problems as challenges
