WEEKLY PHILATELIC GOSSIP 95

The Last “Last Call”

T WAS John J. Ingalls (if our memory serves us right) who stated that “Oppor
Iwhich
tunity Knocks but Once,” or words to that effect. However, here is an instance
proves the exception to that seldom disputed admonition.
OPPORTUNITY HAS BEEN KNOCKING
at the doors of all of our GOSSIP subscribers and readers for the past three months.
A goodly number of our stampic fraternity were quick to appreciate the chance to
get in on a good thing and hastened to become partners in THE GOSSIP PRINTERY
—a partnership in a concern with a creditable past, a profitable present and a re
markably bright future. No person will ever have cause to regret their having pur
chased shares of stock in this “up and coming” enterprise.
Having also entered the Mail Order Publication field, we have opening before
us a far greater scope of practically unlimited business possibilities—with naturally
attendant profit—than is presented in the stampic publication game (which is, as we
all know, a somewhat limited field of endeavor). Our new publication—THE MAIL
ORDER PEPTOMIST—is doubtless destined to become, within a few short months,
an actual leader among the “inspirational selling” magazines. Such being the case,
shares of stock in THE GOSSIP PRINTERY will soon be valued at well over par,
besides paying a substantial dividend.
While our stock sale to our stampic public has met with fairly gratifying re
turns, we would like to give some of our more recent subscribers (and, by the way,
the GOSSIP subscription list maintains a remarkably steady and gratifying growth)
an opportunity to come in with us. Subscriptions in small amounts—$10 to $100—
are what pleases us most. It isn’t the money we want in particular, but we do desire
the affiliation and co-operation of the rank-and-file of stampdom.
Now, what we started out to tell you is to advance this little piece of “info:”
NO MORE STOCK WILL BE OFFERED FOR SALE TO THE STAMPIC
FRATERNITY AFTER 6 P. M., MAY 16, 1925.
All unsold stock, at that time, will be withdrawn from further offer to the stamp
collecting and dealing people. We do not need the money so much as we would like
to have one thousand philatelists listed on our stock subscription records. Do not
wait a few weeks and then say you wish you had done it —DO IT NOW—fill out the
coupon beneath and speed it to us, via the “boys in gray,” that we may know you
are FOR US in the full sense of the expression.

Not a “Gold-Brick” Scheme.
