B. Tujuan Pembelajaran
1. Given a personal recount text, students are able to recall the material regarding
recount text from the previous meeting on reading by answering the teacher’s
questions correctly. (C1 - LOTS)
2. Guided by the teacher, students are able to develop the given title of personal recount
text to be a complete text in group work. (C3 - MOTS)
3. At the end of the lesson, students are able to create a complete recount text
individually. (C6 - HOTS)

Opening 3 minutes
- Teacher and students give and answer greetings (1 minute)
- Saying prayers (1 minute)
- Teacher calls the roll (1 minute)
Main Activity 77 minutes
- Teacher gives an example of personal recount text about holiday and
students are asked to read it (MOT - 2 minutes)
- Students, guided by the teacher, link the previous material on recount
text to be carried out for today’s material, personal recount text
writing, by analyzing the generic structure and language features of the
given personal recount text together. (BKOF - 10 minutes)
- Students are divided into three groups. Every group will be given a
different topic of personal recount text to be developed into a complete
personal recount text. The topics are holiday in zoo, in the beach, and
in museum. (JCOT - 20 minutes)
- Students are asked to swap the results of their personal recount text to
each other’s group to be given feedback. Once feedback is given,
students are asked to return the text to be improved based on the given
feedback, which then the text will be submitted to the teacher as the
final result. (JCOT - 10 minutes)
- The teacher will pick the best result to be given feedback and
discussed together. (JCOT - 5 minutes)
- Students are asked to write their own personal recount text about
holiday individually, based on their personal experience. (ICOT - 20
minutes)
- Students are asked to swap the results of their personal recount text to
the students next to them to be given feedback. The feedback must be
written along with the name of the giver. Once feedback is given,
students are asked to return the text to be improved based on the given
feedback, which then to be submitted to the teacher as the final result.
(ICOT - 10 minutes)
Closing 10 minutes
- Teacher and students review the lesson today. (7 minutes)
- Teacher gives feedback on learning activities today and introduce the
materials for the next meeting briefly (2 minutes)
- Saying prayers and salam (1 minute)

The example of recount text
Visiting Way Kambas
Yesterday I and my family went to Way Kambas national park to see the
elephants and rhinos conserved there. Way Kambas National Park is a national park
that is used as elephant and rhino sanctuary located in Labuhan Ratu District, East
Lampung, Indonesia.
When we got there, we saw some elephant performances, such as playing
football, sitting, greeting the visitors, and other entertaining
performances. Unfortunately, we could not see the Sumatran rhinoceros because
visitors must have a special permit in advance to see them. Visitors or ordinary
tourists cannot see the Sumatran rhino’s natural breeding. In the afternoon we saw
some animals which were being fed.
When we returned home, we were tired but we were happy because we had so
much fun in Way Kambas.

Once you have finished, please swap the result to the other groups and give feedback!

Once feedback has been given, please return the text so that you and the other groups
can improve the text, which then to be submitted it to your teacher!
C. Summative Assessment (Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik)
Please create a personal recount text about holiday individually on a lined folio paper
(provided by your teacher). Your recount text is based on your own personal
experience, so any similarity with your friend(s) will be questioned and punished
accordingly!

Once you have finished your personal recount text, swap it to your friend next to you to
be given feedback!

In giving feedback, please write down the feedback along with your name!

Once feedback has been given, please return the text so that you and your friends can
improve the text, which the to be submitted to your teacher!
