F= Force in newtons (N)
X= Extension in meters (m)
/= divide by
0.098/0.008= 12.25
0.294/0.028= 10.5
0.490/0.048= 10.21
0.686/0.068= 10.08
To calculate the spring constant, I divided the force (N) by extension (m). For
example, if I had a mass of 0.03kg that would convert to a force of 0.294N I would
divide that by the extension of the spring which was 0.028m. I did that multiple
times to make sure that it was done correctly.
