ABOUT

“Ultron Ultimatum” is a story mode campaign book for Marvel Champions, core set. This adds 6-missions long over-arching story to
the core box stitching the default schemes in one coherent story. Rather than random heroes, villains, or modules; each mission will
give you exact guidelines on what content to play with, so that you can have a well-rounded experience with all the content from
the box.

Ultron was decommissioned by Hank Pym and Tony Stark after it tried to create an army of its own and destroy human civilization as
we knew of. But something sinister is now up again and world must call upon its heroes once more to save them from the threat.

DIFFICULTY

Each mission must be won before you can proceed. So, replay it until you win the mission. But following rules must be applied.

You can change the aspect of encounter cards if being used without playing again. Full

SOLO PLAY

This campaign is meant for 2~4 players. But you can solo play it as well. It is recommended (not mandatory) that for solo play you
control two characters and do it two handed for a more rounded experience.

There is no scoring that you need to maintain, but there are certain achievements available to unlock based on what hero you are
playing. Even if it was a failed attempt but you were able to complete an achievement you still get to mark that achievement as

S01E01: BOMB HEIST
“Ok! This might be just the right angle”, said Spiderman as he
setup his camera in the tree. He climbed up and the camera
clicked-on timer; just as he picked up the cat and then
jumped down to the little girl below. “Thank you, mister!”,
sniffed the little girl as she wiped her tears off. “There!
There! Stop crying now, I got your cat back, now go straight
back to your home”, said Spiderman as he turned back to
pick up the camera.
“Huh! Let go of the shame Peter, you had to submit back
some story for the newspaper. It's been a dull week, and
Spiderman saving a cat is still better than returning to Jonah
Jameson empty handed”, said Spidey to himself in low voice.
But just as he was about to get the camera out, his spider-
senses tingled, “Trouble?”. He hurried to take the camera out
and then slinged his way up to get a better view of the
situation.
Just as he got up, a lamp post came flinging towards him in
the sky like a spear barely missing him. He looked down to
see Rhino standing in the center of the street as he started to
run towards the bank. Spiderman swinged below and saw a
crushed car moving from where Rhino stood before! Were
there bystanders stuck under the car? But before he could go
and save them, the car lifted in air and Spiderman saw, She-
Hulk underneath as she moved the rubble away which Rhino
had thrown on her. “Oh hi! I was just coming to help”, said
Spiderman in a nervous voice. SETUP & SCHEME

S01E02: ASSAULT ON SHIELD
“My mercenaries are in place”, Klaw whispered over the
radio. A cracking robotic voice came from other side to
answer, “Good! And remember our deal, you can take
whatever you want from the base for your illegal weapons
operation. But I need the data cube stored in the safe of
Director Fury”. Klaw rolled his eyes and said, “Yeah yeah! I
know don’t worry I will make sure you get what you want.
What’s so special about this data cube anyway?”. The robotic
voice said, “Not of your concern, you will get the money
transferred to your account, and that’s the price of your
silence. And make sure you seal the safe again. It must look
like you were after the weapons only”.
Klaw connected the sound enhancer attachment to his arm
as he replied, “So, when do we finally meet in person?”. The
voice replied, “Once you have the cube, Crimson Cowl will
meet you as promised”. Klaw’s phone dinged a notification,
he checked and start laughing maniacally at looking at the
figures that were deposited in his account. The robotic voice
crackled again, “I believe you have received the first part of
the payment. The second payment you will get once Crimson
Cowl has the data cube. Over and out!”.
Klaw made his way silently towards the Shield base and then
gave the signal as his men started to shoot at the guards and
then the main assault began.
The alarms were sound just then. “Shit! That was fast. Come SETUP & SCHEME
on boys, we lost the element of surprise, let's get in and get
the job done now”, yelled Klaw to his crew. • Villain: Klaw (I) + Klaw (II)

Klaw wounded barely escaped, “Well that was close. I

couldn’t get much of the loot out but I have the data cube
and no one will know that it was stolen”, he said on the radio.
The voice on other side said, “Good! But a slight change in
plan. One of other associates had an assignment as well. He
was caught by the police few hours ago. Free him up”.

S01E03: VIBRANIUM
Police van was enroute to the special powered human’s
prison when a red truck came rushing across the street and
rammed the van as it toppled and went flying few feet before
rolling upside down on its side.
Klaw came out of the truck and walked towards the van. Two
wounded policemen came out but before they could get
their bearings right, Klaw used his sound cannon to blow off
their ear drums as they went unconscious. Then Klaw opened
the back doors of the van and saw Rhino shaking his head
inside as he tried to wake up.
Klaw said, “You must be working for Crimson Cowl as well;
boss said you had unfinished business. He wants his
vibranium. So go back and get it”. Rhino came angrily out of
the van. Klaw continued, “Oh! And after the failed attempt
last time, Black Panther is now aware that which bank you
tried to loot. It’s the only bank where Black Panther keeps a
stash of vibranium in this country. So, boss said that he must
be coming there to defend it. But not to worry he will be
sending some backup to help you out. But don’t fail this
time”.
Rhino started to stampede out towards the bank again. Klaw
exclaimed, “Not even a thank you! How rude! Oh well its
time I finally meet Crimson Cowl and get my remaining
payment”.
Back at the bank, as expected Black Panther had come to SETUP & SCHEME
check up on his Vibranium reserve. As he was coming out, a

S01E04: RISE OF CRIMSON COWL
Elsewhere… Klaw waited at the rendezvous point. He waited
for the Crimson Cowl to come. Then he saw someone walk
with a crooked walk towards him laden in a crimson hood.
The robotic voice came from the hood, "Thank you for
meeting me". Klaw was surprised as he said, “Oh! So you are
yourself Crimson Cowl! I thought you were two different
people". Crimson Cowl replied, "No I am myself Crimson
Cowl. Do you have the data cube?”. Klaw replied, “Ofcourse
that is what we are here for", as he took the cube out of his
satchel, Crimson Cowl picked it up and it was like giving him
energy as he started to move faster and then he opened his
robe a bit. Klaw got scared of seeing some lights and
machinery underneath where Crimson Cowl put the cube
inside and it was like the data cube was absorbed inside the
machine. Klaw was slightly horrified to see as the color of
eyes under the cloak changed, as if it was reading the data in
the cube and... upgrading! Itself.
Then Crimson Cowl got up and said, “You have received your
remaining payment”. Klaw’s phone dinged to confirm the
same as soon as he said that. Crimson Cowl continued, “Now
if you will excuse me, I have big plans”, and left.
Back at SHIELD HQ, Jennifer (She Hulk) smacked the table
and yelled at Nick Fury, “What were they after?”. Fury calmly
replied, “This aint your court room Jennifer. We all have our
jobs and we do them as we see fit”. Jennifer replied, “Yes Mr.

S01E05: RECOVERY
The broken body of Ultron came back to its hideout, he
threw off his Crimson Cloak in anger, “Where is my
vibranium!!! I should have waited to become more stronger
before I launched the assault. But those humans can no
longer be kept in control”.
Madame Hydra received a call, “Why is my vibranium not
with me still?”. Madame Hydra recognized the robotic voice
and said, “Ultron! We did steal the Vibranium as you had
requested. After we ran away from there, Killmonger insisted
that our services were no longer required, and he will take
the supply to you himself. So, we parted ways after that”.
Ultron yelled in anger, “That double crosser! Either he took it
back to Wakanda or sold it to highest bidder. I can never be
sure about where his loyalties lie”. Madame Hydra tapped
some keys on her computer and replied, “Yup there is stash
of Vibranium sitting at one of private security facilities…
‘Falco Corp’, I bet Killmonger hired them to transfer the
Vibranium elsewhere. But good thing its still in the country.
We can get it back”. Ultron replied, “Good! But be careful
‘Falco Corp’ is a private contractor who is used by US army as

there, Avengers are bound to be called for help as well. I will
also send someone whom I trust… Klaw! He will start the

S01E06: ULTIMATUM
Madame Hydra stood as she saw an oversized brain in hover
chair (Modok) flew around the broken skeleton of Ultron as
the Vibranium melted and formed the new body panels for
Ultron. Modok installed it panel by panel. He laughed
maniacally, “You will be better than before my friend. With
your and mine intelligence combined and with this new
Vibranium body… none will be there who can defeat us”.
After few more hours of work, Ultron walked outside, his
body shinning in black shiny metal as faint glows of purple
and red lights flickered underneath, “I feel glorious!”.
Modok came hovering closer to him, “Yes my friend, you will
be practically indestructible now. But what’s the plan!”.
Ultron thumped his feet on the ground, “The job that I was
unable to finish before… taking over all the nuclear assets of
America. A global scale destruction event for humans.
Humanity is a curse for humans. I was built and programmed
to make this world a better place. With all my iterations of
programming, I have calculated that the only way for the
world to survive is by destruction of the virus that roams this
planet… Humans!”.
