The document provides instructions for crocheting a dinosaur toy called LoLa, including required materials, skills, step-by-step instructions and diagrams for constructing the body parts, and assembly instructions.

The materials required include various colors of yarn or cotton, a crochet hook, stuffing, beads, and embroidery thread. The skills needed are crocheting in rounds, chains, increases and decreases, and different crochet stitches.

The body is constructed through multiple rounds of increasing stitches to form the shape. The rounds work up the legs and add details like the crest. Flowers are also crocheted separately to attach later.

CROCHET PATTERN

Design by @medvedeva.toys

Hello, my dear friends!!!

Thank you for choosing my pattern. I did my best to describe in details all the stages of the toy
creation here. There are a lot of photos as well as step-by-step instructions and a list of materials
required. I hope you will have pleasure both from the process itself and from the result.

I would love to see with my own eyes and show your works with my pattern to my subscribers, so
please use hashtag #pattern_by_medvedevatoys on Instagram!

In round 6 work 4 additional turning rows between the legs.

If we want the right side of the toy to look nice while working in turning rows, we need to give the 4
additional rows between the legs a smooth face side fabric look. Thus we work the face side rows as
usual. After turning the work to the wrong side leave the working thread in front of the hook (in front
of the fabric). Insert the hook into the stitch of the previous round not the way you are used to (away
from yourself), but TO YOURSELF instead, yarn over and pull the yarn finishing the stitch.

Prior to crocheting round 6 YOU MUST watch the video below!!!

* Dinosaur neck (45)

Before you continue crocheting, please see the pictures below.

17 rnd : work 2 sc and move the contrast thread (depending on your gauge you can move the
contrast thread a bit further than you see in my picture. Work as many stitches as needed for it to
get to the center),

78 sc, 15 ch, join at the opposite side of the body having counted 15 stitches from the contrast
thread.

Assembly of the Dinosaur

1. Secure the head with pins to the body. Make sure that the convex part where the eyes will be
sewn is on top. You can turn the head straight or turn it slightly to the side. I prefer to turn the head to
the side a little bit. Please see the pictures below.

2. Stuff the tail and secure it with pins to the body. Pin the base of the tail at approximately 8 rounds
from the bottom and 5 rounds on top. Please see the pictures below.

3. Sew the head to the neck using the main yarn.

(I sew all the toy parts using invisible stitch)

Design by @medvedeva.toys (Dinosaur LoLa) Page 35

4. Pin the points for eyes. At about 8 round from the top of the head. The gap between the eyes is
th

slightly more than 1 cm (0,394 inches). Sew on the eyes slightly pulling the thread.

Design by @medvedeva.toys (Dinosaur LoLa) Page 36

5. Mark the crest with pins and thread. The crest starts at about 5 round from the top of the head.
th

The gap between the scallops is around 1 cm (0,394 inches).

Design by @medvedeva.toys (Dinosaur LoLa) Page 37

Prior to crocheting the crest remove the thread, leave only the pins on place. Cast the stitches right
from the toy stitches poles, work from the head to the tip of the tail (5 dc into one point, 1 sc into
another one – repeat until the end of the crest). You can also crochet the chain, and work the
scallops along it, but I prefer the first option.

Close the last loop and cut the thread. Weave in ends using a sewing needle.

6. Secure the bow with pins to the top of the head right next to the first scallop. Sew it on using dark
pink Iris yarn, with which you are going to embroider the mouth.

Design by @medvedeva.toys (Dinosaur LoLa) Page 41

7. Arrange the flowers over the body and sew them on. Sew one bead in the middle of each flower;
use the same beads you used for the bow.
