WHAT IS IT?
A bumper car is a small electrically operated car with all-around rubber bumpers that is driven in an
amusement park enclosure with the intention of bumping into other such cars.
This law applies to bumper cars because you experience a jolt when a
bumper car you are riding in collides with another bumper car. This is
because, despite the fact that your bumper car has now abruptly
stopped, your body's inertia wants it to continue travelling in the
direction it was heading with the car.
SOCIETAL IMPACT
Positive:
Since bumper cars are purely for enjoyment, they are beneficial to society in the
sense that you engage in the activity to have fun. They are always found in
amusement parks, which pretty much sums up their intended usage and purpose.
Negative:
When in a bumper car, even if you are wearing a seatbelt, being constantly jerked
and jolted might lead someone big or small to strike their head, face, wrists, or
legs against parts of the car.
