How to Install Fonts

Norton Ghost 2003
How to create image of any drive (For PATA Hard Disk Drive)
1. Install Norton Ghost 2003.
2. Click on Start/Program/Norton Ghost 2003/Norton Ghost.
3. Click on Backup.
4. Click on Next.
5. Select the drive of which image you have to create.
Note: If the OS is in other than the C: then select the home drive along with c: holding 'Ctrl' key.
6. Click on Next.
7. Browse the destination location where you want to save the image file.
Note: Destination drive must be different from the Source drive.
8. Provide a file name for image file.
9. Click on Next/Next/Next.
10. Click on 'Continue'.
11. Click on 'Run now'.
12. Click on OK.
How to restore the Ghost Image file
1. Make the first boot device CD and save.
2. Insert the bootable CD of Norton Ghost 2003 and restart the computer.
3. Click on OK.

5. Browse the image file.

5. Now go to 'c:\>' by using following command.

6. Go to CD-ROM drive.

7. Copy the file 'ntldr' and 'ntdetect.com' from the 'i386' folder of the CD.

8. Now restart the computer by using 'exit' command.

Shutdown commands

This commad is used to Logoff the computer. The default time is 0 seconds. This time cann't be changed.
4.-t
This command is used with '-s' or '-r' command. This command defines for '-s' or '-r' command. Time is defined in seconds.

shutdown -s -t 0

5. -c
This command is used with '-s' or '-r' command. This command is used to write the comment for shutdown or restart.

e.g. shutdown -s -t 50 -c "Hi the computer is going to be shutdown."
6. -m
This command is used with ‘-s’ or ‘-r’ command. This command is used to restart or shutdown the remote (Network)
computer.
e.g. shutdown –s –t 50 –c “Hi the computer is going to shutdown” –m \\com2
Here: \\com2 is name of remote computer.
System Recovery Console
This utility provides facility to copy files of "%systemroot%\system32\config" going through Recovery console. For this, first,
we have to install this feature.
1. Insert the CD of Operating system (WinXP)
2. Go to 'Run' window.
3. Type the commnd:
Syntax: <CD-ROM driver>:\winnt32 /cmdcons
e.g. e:\winnt32 /cmdcons
4. Click on 'Yes' button from 'Windows Setup' window.
5. Select the option "Skip this step and continue installing windows".
6. Click on 'Next'.
7. Click on OK.
Going to Recovery Console
1. Restart the computer.
2. Select option "Microsoft Windows Recovery Console" from Startup.
3. Enter the Windows Serial No.
4. Enter the password of Administrator.
5. Then you can operate DOS as your requirement.
Multi PC
This Utility software is used to connect two or more monitor and Input (keyboard, Mouse) device so that multiple users can
use a computer at time through different Input/Output devices.
1. First of all configure Display cards and 'Y cable (USB to PS/2 conveter)' to the Motherboard.
2. Install the Display driver.
3. Go to the 'Properties' of 'My Computer'.
4. Click on 'Settings' tab.
5. Click on No. 2 and others and Enable the checkbox "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor".
6. Click on 'Apply' then OK.
7. Now install the software 'Multipc'.
8. After the installation computer will be restarted.
9. After that press 'Enter' key for keyboard and click on OK when displayed.
Note: Here we are asked to press 'Enter' key to all monitors and do so with respective keyboard and mouse.
10. The system will again be restarted.
11. Now Multipc is complete.
