UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, LAHORE
Lab # 7:
Network Analysis

Scope of Lab:
1. After doing this lab we are able to take “Network Analysis” of map.
2. To learn about the method of “Network Analysis” in ArcGIS software.
3. To learn about the Networking and topological networking.
4. To learn about the usage of “Network Anlysis”.

Related Theory:

Procedure:
1) First of all, open the ArcGIS and add the data on which we want to take network
analysis.

2) Right click on pak adm map and select properties > labels > NAME-3 > apply label factor
and then OK.
Also add the “Network Analyst” tool.

3) From “Analyst Network” select “New route”, a dialogue will appear in which all features
of network analysis will be shown.
Fig 3 Selecting of New route

4) Now select “Create network location” tool from Network analyst tool and select the
location from which you want to make network analysis.

5) Now select the location where you want make the route or Newrok.
Fig 5 Selection of ending point

6) Now we select different points for Networking and a possible route will be shown.

Comments:
After doing this lab I get information about the Networking in ArcGIS. Now I am able to take
Network Analysis of different points on map.
