    There are three main types of hydrogen: green, blue, and grey. Green hydrogen is produced through the electrolysis of water using electricity from renewable sources. Blue hydrogen is produced from natural gas through steam methane reforming or autothermal reforming, but the resulting carbon dioxide is captured and stored underground. Grey hydrogen is also produced from natural gas reforming, but the carbon dioxide produced is released into the atmosphere rather than being captured and stored.
