consultancy on both vendor and in-house technology solutions across 5 main line of businesses: Core
Technology, E-trading Front Office Technology, Risk & Data Analytic, Vendor Technology and
Quantitative Technology Services. Phi’s operations span across Europe, North America, MENA, and
Asia, with two nearshore delivery centres in Casablanca and Bucharest.

About this initiative:


One of our clients is a Global Asian Financial Group founded in the 1970’s and 50,000 employees
worldwide, across including New York, London, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. This client
provides a wide range of services, including: sales and trading in both debt and equity securities, the
underwriting of new issues and M&A advisory services.

Over the past few years, the Information System Department (ISD) of this client has decided to build
its own in-house state-of-the-art middleware messaging solution to fulfill its needs in regards to
Enterprise Messaging & Data Transfer across the organization. As a trusted partner, Phi is now
supporting the ISD with 15 consultants and are looking to bolster delivery capabilities on this initiative.

Because of this, Phi is looking to build a second team of experienced Java Consultants to join our
Casablanca Finance City (CFC) offices in order to work on this initiative. This unique program provides
off-the-shelf bullet proof integration solutions based on architected open standards for the integration
of applications, and focuses on the development of a Java-based in-house core solution, with the
objective of achieving 100% reliability and real time transfer of data globally.

What are my responsibilities?


As part of the Enterprise Messaging team, the developer’s responsibilities shall include:
• Implementing new and enhancing existing application integration projects within the middleware
framework;
• Being involved in the full project life cycle; analyzing, designing, and developing new integration
projects in an UNIX and windows environment;
• Producing detailed functional and design specifications;
• Managing projects and conducting systems testing, as well as supporting UAT;
• Dealing with day-to-day production problems and maintenance when required.

Do you have what it takes? Are you the right candidate for this job?
The right candidate for this job shall have:
• Strong Java and JEE development skills, following SOLID principles for software development;
• Proficient understanding of integration architecture and design skills;
• Experience in using object oriented analysis, in particular UML;
• Experience with Publish/Subscribe messaging paradigms;
• Unix / Linux OS skills and relational database skills- Sybase, MS SQL Server, MySQL;
• Knowledge of source control such as Git, Subversion;
• Other technologies of relevance include: XML based technologies such XSLT, JAXB; JBOSS,
JMS, SPRING, Hibernate; automation tools such Maven; Junit, jMock, Cucumber.
