II. INTRODUCTORY CONCEPT

How do you convince readers to believe in an idea or opinion?

Composing a persuasive essay is a great way to express


personal views about a subject. A persuasive essay is used to
convince a reader about a particular idea that the writer believes
in. Its main purpose is to let the reader embrace an idea or point
of view. It contains an opinion to convince the readers.

Persuasive essay has three parts: introduction, main body and conclusion.
a. Introduction: Introduces the subject and states the writer’s opinion clearly
b. Main Body: Presents different viewpoints supported by reasons and
examples in two or more paragraphs
c. Conclusion: Summarizes the argument/ topic
