GLOSSARY
Alarm Inputs/Outputs- This can be a physical wired device like PIR Sensor, Door sensor, Glass break sensor, Smoke
sensor etc., that recognize any suspicious activity that triggers alarm output such as sending e-Mails and uploading
video on FTP server. Alarm inputs on a DVR, XVR or NVR can be used for connecting additional devices .
Network video recorder - A network video recorder (NVR) is a computer system that records video footage and
stores it on a hard disk, a mass storage device, or cloud
CCTV Closed circuit television - is a TV system in which signals are not publicly distributed but are monitored,
primarily for surveillance and security purposes.
Surveillance - is the monitoring of behavior, many activities, or information for the purpose of information
gathering, influencing, managing or directing.
There has been equipment theft incidents here at ZBC where we failed to find the culprits. It goes without saying
that having a CCTV camera installed at our premises will act as a serious deterrent to criminals and anyone carrying
out illegal activities. The sight of a CCTV camera infers an air of danger and the presence of the law, deterring
anyone planning to carry out a crime from doing so. CCTV systems are able to keep track of what is happening at
the premises where they are installed. By monitoring the activity of workers and visitors at your business’ site, we
can have total peace of mind about exactly what is going on the ZBC premises.
SCOPE OF WORK
The Scope of this project is to provide a complete CCTV Solutions that should cover Design, Plan, Supply,
Installation, Implementation, Commissioning, providing year’s supports for all the hardware, software, materials,
services and support etc. related to the CCTV Infrastructures.
Installing a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system is an effective measure to increase the security of ZBC and also
to improve the efficiency and performance of our business’s operations.

Cameras
1. Dome camera -The dome camera is one most commonly used for indoor and outdoor security and
surveillance. The shape of the camera makes it difficult for onlookers to tell which way the camera
is facing, which is a strong piece of design, deterring criminals by creating an air of uncertainty.
2. Bullet camera -Bullet cameras are long and cylindrical in shape and are ideal for outdoor use.
Their strengths lie specifically in applications which require long distance viewing. Installed
within protective casings, the cameras are shielded against dust, dirt and other natural elements.
The cameras can easily be mounted with a mounting bracket, and come fitted with either fixed or
varifocal lenses depending on the requirements of its intended application.
3. Fish eye -Fisheye security cameras, known for their ultra-wide-angle lens, are capable of
providing video surveillance with dynamic viewing angles, including panoramic 180 degrees and
360 degrees. When using a wide-angle panoramic IP camera, images are typically warped, which
creates the effect of a fisheye. In addition to the panoramic view, fisheye surveillance cameras are
also capable of providing greater situational awareness to reduce potential blind spots with the
ability to create split views in different directions to increase coverage without having to install
additional cameras.
A network video recorder (NVR) is a computer system that records video footage and stores it on a hard disk, a
mass storage device, or cloud storage. NVRs are paired with digital internet protocol (IP) cameras to create a video
surveillance system.
Project timeline
Planning February-April
Creating a project plan: Identify the project timeline, including the phases of the project, the tasks to be
performed, and possible constraints
Creating workflow diagrams: Visualize your processes to make sure team members clearly
understand their role in a project
Estimating budget and creating a financial plan: Use cost estimates to determine how much to spend on the
project to get the maximum return on investment
Gathering resources: Build your functional team from internal and external talent pools while making sure
everyone has the necessary tools (software, hardware, etc.) to complete their tasks
Anticipating risks and potential quality roadblocks: Identify issues that may cause our project to stall while
planning to mitigate those risks and maintain the project’s quality and timeline
Holding a project kickoff meeting: Bring our team on board and outline the project so they can quickly get to
work
