1. Introduction

The water crisis is a pressing global issue, presently industries all over the globe rely
heavily on unsustainable sources for satisfying their current water requirements. More than
40% of their water requirements are met through mining of non-renewable groundwater,
often causing massive environmental impacts that we read in newspapers on a daily basis.
Unfortunately, it also adversely affects the local communities as they are also dependent on
the same groundwater. Thus, Uravu Labs is working on solving this huge problem by
providing first of its kind 100% renewable water technology.

This synopsis provides an overview of my internship role at Uravu Labs, a company


working towards solving the global water crisis by providing first of its kind 100%
renewable water technology. My role during the internship involves deck creation with
research-backed content, content creation for prospective customers, social media content
creation, handling email communication and follow-ups, and monitoring and building the
sales pipeline.

2. Rationale

A business development intern plays a critical role in the growth and success of a
company. As a business development intern, I will have the opportunity to work
closely with various teams within the company, including sales, marketing, product
development, and management, to identify potential business opportunities, expand
the company's customer base, and increase revenue.

Interning in business development will allow me to gain practical experience and


skills in various aspects of business, including market research, strategic planning,
relationship building, and communication. I will also learn how to analyze market
trends, identify potential customers, and develop effective sales strategies.

Additionally, interning in business development will give me exposure to different


industries and markets, allowing me to gain a broader understanding of the business
world. I will also have the opportunity to work with professionals who have a wealth
of knowledge and experience, which can help me develop my own professional
network and career prospects.

Overall, interning in business development is an excellent opportunity to gain


practical skills, learn about different industries and markets, and build a foundation for
a successful career in business.
3. Objectives

The objective of my internship is to assist the Uravu Labs team in their mission to provide
renewable water-from-air solutions and to contribute to the commercialization of the
technology.

 Deck creation with research-backed content.


 Content creation for prospective customers.
 Social media content creation.
 Handling email communication and follow-ups.

4. Literature Review

Business development is a multifaceted discipline that encompasses various activities and


processes. The concept involves identifying opportunities to grow and expand a business,
developing strategies to capitalize on those opportunities, and executing those strategies
effectively. Business development strategies vary depending on the industry, market, and
organization. However, there are several best practices that are commonly used across
various different sectors

Business development is a critical aspect of organizational growth and success. It involves


identifying opportunities, developing strategies, and executing plans effectively. To achieve
success in business development, organizations must conduct market research, network
with stakeholders, develop partnerships, implement digital marketing strategies, and invest
in employee training and development. By following these best practices, businesses can
position themselves for long-term success in today's competitive market.
5. Feasibility Study

1. Market analysis: A thorough analysis of the target market is essential to determine the potential
demand for the proposed business. This involves researching the size and growth of the market,
the target customers, their needs and preferences, and the competition.
2. Industry analysis: A comprehensive analysis of the industry helps to identify trends,
opportunities, and threats. This includes researching the regulatory environment, industry
standards and practices, and potential barriers to entry.
3. Competition analysis: A competitive analysis helps to identify existing and potential
competitors, their strengths and weaknesses, and their market share. This information can be
used to develop strategies for differentiating the proposed business from the competition.
4. Financial analysis: A financial analysis helps to determine the financial viability of the proposed
business. This involves forecasting revenue, costs, and profits, as well as identifying the sources
of funding required to start and sustain the business.
5. Operational analysis: An operational analysis helps to determine the resources required to
operate the business, including personnel, equipment, and technology. This includes assessing
the skills and experience of the management team, as well as developing operational plans for
the short and long term.

6. Methodology/ Planning of work

During the internship, I will be involved in several key tasks including investor research,
market research, content creation for prospective investors, and mapping the customer
journey from discovery to close. I will also assist in developing thoroughly researched,
focused, and creative copy/content, leveraging storytelling skills to communicate the value
of Uravu's technology. I will also be actively handling stakeholder management wherein I
will be dealing email communication.

7. Expected Outcomes

The scope of my internship includes gaining hands-on experience in the field of renewable
water technology and understanding the challenges involved in commercializing a new
technology. Additionally, I will learn the importance of effective communication and
content creation in the technology industry, and the role they play in driving the sales
pipeline. Overall, it will be a great learning experience that will provide me with a deeper
understanding of the global water crisis and the role of renewable technology in solving it

Using all the ideas mentioned above, begin putting them into
June 2022 practice. Maintain regular meetings with my department's seniors to
discuss concepts and work actively to eradicate quality errors.
