VACANCY NOTIFICATION
A Walk–in-interview (written test/Interview) is scheduled to be held at the office of ICMR-
Regional Medical Research Centre, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar-751023 for recruitment of
contractual posts under the project “Demography Integrated Surveillance for Health Assessment
DISHA on Dengue and Chikungunya in Tigiria block of Cuttack district, Odisha”. Eligible
candidates will appear for the walk-in-interview on the below mentioned dates. Other details like age
limit, educational qualification, selection process & how to apply are given below:-

Essential Qualification Graduate in science/relevant subjects/from a recognized university with
3years work experience from a recognized institution
Or Master’s degree in the relevant subjects.
Desirable Field experience of research projects and handling of field workers for
data collection, Handling of paperless data collection system (electronic
data), Proficiency in local language (writing and speaking), Proficiency
in remote sensing image processing and Arc GIS, Quantum, ERDAS,
GRASS etc GIS software.
Nature of Duties -Implementation of field data collection, training and handholding of the
field workers in data collection processes.
-Ready to travel extensively in the field area.
-Monitor data collection and perform quality check.
-Coordination with the teams and stakeholders involved in the data
collection activities.
-Follow uniform SOPs for implementation, monitoring and quality
assurance of geo-spatial component in sync with other sites.
-Conducting satellite image processing, interpretation and digitization as
instructed
-Implementation of field data collection and handholding of the field
workers in conducting the participatory mapping processes.
-Monitor data collection done by the field workers and perform quality
check.
-Coordination with census, IT teams and other community stakeholders
involved in the data collection activities.
-Any other task assigned by core team or Project Manager.

-The incumbent is expected to remain in the field and conduct field based
census enumeration activities, quantitative data collection using
electronic devises and process documentation.

* B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years experience.
Desirable -B. Sc with Biological sciences with Diploma in computer and office
procedure from a recognized university with working knowledge of MS
office (word, excel, power point).
-Proficiency in local language and sensitive to local culture, customs and
beliefs.
Nature of Duties -Collection of Biological samples in community
-Ensuring Sample storage and transportation to laboratory
-Carry out various biochemical and microbiological investigations
-Document the test results and reports
-Practice GCP and GCLP
-Ensure IP practices in lab
 -Ensure proper Biomedical waste management in lab
-Ready to travel extensively in the field area
-Any other task assigned by core team or Project Manager or Research
Assistant

Diploma in Pharmacology from a recognized institution.
-Minimum 1 year experience.
-Proficiency in local language and sensitive to local culture, customs and
beliefs.
-Should reside at study site.
Nature of Duties -Counseling to study participants.
-Collection of Biological samples from study participants.
-Assist the FIs in data collection from field.
-Ready to travel extensively in the field area.
-Any other task assigned by core team or Project Manager or Research
Assistant.
Age Limit 28 years
Salary Consolidated: Rs. 18,000/- per month

Salary Consolidated: Rs. 17,000/- per month

Terms & conditions:-
1. Qualification & Experience should be in relevant discipline/field and from an institution of
repute. Experience should have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential
qualification.
2. Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee the selection.
3. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
4. Age concession: Age relaxation is admissible in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates,
Retrenched Govt. Employees, Departmental Candidates (including projects), and Ex-
servicemen in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Govt. from time to
time. Age concession to the extent of service rendered in other research projects will also be
admissible for experienced and skilled persons.
5. Consolidated salary of the post may vary from time to time.
6. Director, RMRC, Bhubaneswar reserves rights to consider or reject any
application/candidature.
7. Submission of wrong or false information during the process of selection shall disqualify
the candidature at any stage.
8. Appointment will be made on project mode and purely temporary in nature, co-terminus
with the project. Candidate shall have no claim for regular appointment at RMRC,
Bhubaneswar or ICMR.
9. Leave shall be as per the Institutional Policy for Project staff.
10. The Number of vacancies may vary according to requirement at later stage.
11. Similar post, if any, arises in future, may be filled up from the selected panel list.
12. In case of in-service candidates, a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE (NOC) from the
present employer is to be submitted failing which the application is liable for rejection.
