I. RATIONALE:
The School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) of Geratag Elementary School is consistent with the procedures of the School-Based
Management (SBM), and the School Improvement Plan (SIP), but this is more focused on the teaching–learning process. It is a venue
for continuous and effective in-service training for teachers’ development. This School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) will provide an
opportunity for teachers to sit together, review some specific instructional concerns and discuss topics that can solve everyday
problems in the classroom. This will also serve to support the teachers in some innovative practices that would enhance their skills and
competencies.
II. OBJECTIVES:
 To understand the idea of unpacking a standard;
 To be able to describe reasons that standards should be unpacked;
 To learn how to use the nouns and verbs in a standard to identify content, actions, and learning targets;
 To practice unpacking a standard;
 To collaborate with others to unpack a standard; and
 To improve teachers' skills in test construction.
