FS2 Le3

This document outlines an action research plan for a teacher. It identifies problems observed in the classroom around getting to know students, engaging students before lessons, and serving students fairly. Potential interventions are proposed such as sharing personal stories, asking students to reflect on life lessons, and ensuring individual student needs are met. The teacher plans to address getting students to value principles over peer influence by sharing about their own teenage experiences. The action of implementing this plan will take place during the teacher's future field studies or internship.

LE 03: UNDERSTANDING AR

CONCEPTS, PROCESSES AND MODELS

REFLECT
As a future teacher, is conducting Action Research worth doing? Yes
Why? it is essential for better classroom performance and it is more on the specific
solutions to a certain problem being addressed.

How can AR be useful for every classroom teacher? It gives the teachers the necessary
solutions and interventions to produce an effective healthy classroom environment that is
valuable to the academic development of the students.

WRITE ACTION RESEARCH PROMPTS

OBSERVE
Remembering my classroom observation in FS 1, I noticed that there are many questions
that I raised in my mind. These include:
a. What if I try to know my students deeply by sharing my stories with them?
b. What about letting them ponder about life before the lessons are delivered?
c. How am I going to serve them all fairly?

REFLECT
Thinking deeply about those problems, perhaps something must have been done to solve
the problem or answer the question, like:
a. Sharing a glimpse of my background by starting with, ..back in my younger years,…
b. “Before we start, I want to ask any representative to share what he/she learned in life
today. What is its impact personally?”
c. Attending to each individual needs with the best effort that I can, giving fair judgment
and interventions.

PLAN
Now, that I am in FS 2, I plan to make a plan for my solution to problem A, because the
way they act on their teenage days today is different from my teenage behaviors and
actions which is more preserved and organized. I want them to know and relearn the
value of being somebody who has a principle in life and is not merely controlled by the
environment he/she is in.

ACT
My action will come later, given enough time in FS 2 or during my Teaching Internship.
