    NAME OF ACTIVITY: Grade Level-Based Quarter 2 Planning for Distance


    Learning Delivery Modalities (DLDM) & Crafting of
    Learning Activity Sheets

    DATE: December 14-18,2020

    VENUE: Hinabuyan Central School,


    Hinabuyan, Villaba, Leyte

    PARTICIPANTS: Key Stage 1 and 2 Teachers

    DESCRIPTION:

    Activity sheets provide the context and direction and importantly the process to
    participate in activities, and link to other resources. Activity sheets can be mapped against
    learning outcomes and performance criteria and decontextualized by other teachers. The
    activity sheet does not have to be about a technology, it can be about any process, and any
    learning that will nurture self-directed and independent learning.

    Relative to the implementation of new normal for the incoming School Year 2020-
    2021, the development of the Learning Activity Sheets (LAS) shall be based on the Most
    Essential Learning Competencies (MELC) issued by the Central Office.

    Key stage 1 (Grades 1-3) learning areas shall be prepared by their own respective
    SDOs based on their MTB used as Methods of Teaching (MOT). Preparation of the Key
    Stage 2 (Grades 4-6), and Key Stage 3 (Junior HS) and Key Stage 4 (Senior HS) shall be
    based on the MELC’s per grade levels. The LAS shall be utilized by learners during the home
    learning sessions.

    OBJECTIVES:

     Capacitate teachers in crafting Learning Activity Sheets.


     Produce a well-developed Learning Resources that will help in nurturing a
    self-directed and independent learning among learners

    LIST OF ISSUES AND CONCERN:

    The main concern of the teachers was all about the number of objectives indicated in
    the Most Learning Competencies, some of the competencies are too many and some of it
    were not organizeed most especially in English where the competencies indicated are not
    being grouped accordingly.
    PARTICIPANTS FEEDBACK:

    Some of the participants were hesitant to make the Learning Activity Sheets because
    they had already downloaded the SLMs. Some of them questioned about the quality
    assurance of the teacher-made learning activity sheets to be used for the entire district.

    DESIGN OF THE EVENT:

    The event was done in different classrooms according to the grade level of the
    teachers, and each classrooms had learning facilitators that will manage and present the
    different guidelines on how to craft Learning Activity Sheets.

    AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION:

    The teachers were able to craft learning activity sheets that can be used during the
    resumption of classes on January 4, 2021 or for the entire period of quarter 2.

    LOGISTICAL ARRANGEMENT:

    The activity went well and all the participants were all accommodated and felt safe
    and comfortable. The participants, together with the facilitators were able to follow the
    protocols/minimum standard on health safety measures against covid-19
