The teacher holds a box containing series of printed pictures and the pupils will
pick a picture from the box, after that they are going to post it on the board and
identify whether the character in the picture is real or not.

What do you mean by real stories?
Discussion:
There are things that happen in real life, and some are just made-up stories.
Real text/Stories- are texts that happen or may happen in real life. They present
facts and talk about true events.
-it is believable because we can see, hear, feel, or touch them.

What do you mean by made-up stories?
Made-up text/stories- also known as fictions, are texts that happen or may
happen in real life.
-they are written for entertainment purposes only

and REAL if the statement is about real text/stories. (the teacher used hyperlink in

Based from the story an honest wood cutter. Cite atleast 2 text/sentences which
belongs to Real text and made-up
Mercury, the god of water appeared. He asked the reason of his weeping. The
woodcutter told the whole story. Mercury dived into the water and brought a
golden axe. The woodcutter refused to take it. Mercury again dived and
brought a silver axe. The woodcutter did not take it either. Then he brought an
iron axe. The woodcutter took it gladly. Mercury was much pleased. He
rewarded the woodcutter with the other two axes.

During pandemic we observed a lot of fake news from the internet especially on
facebook and even up to the present.
As a pupil what is the importance of knowing fake news from truth?
How can you identify fake news from truth ?
