Three religious sayings on Excellence

from the Tripitaka for Buddhists

“If anything is worth doing, do it with all your heart.”


(verse 313 of the Dhammapada)

“Set your heart on doing good. Do it over and over again, And you will be filled with joy.”
(verse 118 of the Dhammapada)

“Drop by drop is the water pot filled. Likewise, the wise man, gathering it
little by little, fills himself with good.” (verse 122 of the Dhammapada)

REFLECTION
Even if it takes a long time, a drop, no matter how insignificant it appears, can fill a large pot of water. We usually
anticipate outcomes right away. For example, you might expect to see abs form within a week of starting to
exercise. I've realized that things take time, as well as large and small efforts and actions. Moving forward
consistently is the key to making progress in anything. It can help you achieve your dreams and goals. If you want
to improve or attain something, don't let yourself hold you back and start doing. There is no need to rush. You will
get there with each step you take forward.
