    DIAGNOSTICS − ELECTRONIC MOTOR POWER STEERING SYSTEM

    INSPECTION PROCEDURE
    1 CHECK POWER STEERING ECU ASSY (EMPS ECU)

    (a) Remove the EMPS ECU with connectors still connected.


    PGND SPD (b) Turn the ignition switch ON.
    (c) Measure the resistance between terminals SPD and
    PGND of EMPS ECU connector.
    Resistance: 1M W or higher

    NG CHECK AND REPLACE POWER STEERING
