The Basics

Bob Dylan is a 78-year-old man from Minnesota,

U.S.A. He was and is the first singer/songwriter
to win a Nobel prize for literature. In the 1970s,
Dylan went through a “christian period” and in
the 60s a motorcycle accident. In this
presentation, we will go through all that and
more.

Beginning...
to the world on May 24, 1941,
Duluth, Minnesota, U.S.A. Since he
was born, he lived in Hibbing (a city
in Minnesota). After the age of 18,
he played in many different bands
and started to find a love for
American folk music and blues. For
a short period of time, he went to
college but then changed his name
to “Bob Dylan” and started writing
music professionally.
The Big move

In 1961, Dylan moved to New York and his talent was immediately recognized. By
1964, his songs began to take over the country and his songs “The times are
changing” and “Blowing in the wind” became anthems for the civil right
movements and anti-war movements. During a very hard time in America, Dylan
became a voice of comfort and reason. However, things would soon change .
● It was 1965, when Dylan first
performed with an electric
guitar at a New York folk
festival. He was booed by his

fans and purists screamed
their heads off. After that,
Dylan was known for
reinventing himself and trying
new styles. His song “Like a
rolling stone” became classic
pop hit.
Unfortunate
news

In the 1960s, Dylan was in

a tragic motorcycle
accident and had to miss
out on a massive music
festival but instead he
watched in the crowd
with a cast on his leg.
Bob Dylan continues to live and
The End continues to perform and has a very
happy life. Thank you for reading my
slideshow and goodbye.
