Beginning...
to the world on May 24, 1941,
Duluth, Minnesota, U.S.A. Since he
was born, he lived in Hibbing (a city
in Minnesota). After the age of 18,
he played in many different bands
and started to find a love for
American folk music and blues. For
a short period of time, he went to
college but then changed his name
to “Bob Dylan” and started writing
music professionally.
The Big move
In 1961, Dylan moved to New York and his talent was immediately recognized. By
1964, his songs began to take over the country and his songs “The times are
changing” and “Blowing in the wind” became anthems for the civil right
movements and anti-war movements. During a very hard time in America, Dylan
became a voice of comfort and reason. However, things would soon change .
