    Earth Day is an annual celebration every 22 day of April to show support
    nd

    for environmental protection. It was first held on April 22, 1970, and now includes a
    wide range of events coordinated globally by EARTHDAY.ORG (formerly Earth
    Day Network) including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries.

    National Earth Day Celebration 2021 campaigns with the theme,


    “PINASiglang Mundo (Restore the Earth) promotes ways to save the Earth. Since its
    foundation, the organizers aim to promote actions educating the public about a
    variety of subjects including climate change, pollution, erosion, recycling,
    composting, rain forests and ecosystem. As citizens of the world, we are encouraged
    to take actions protecting the Earth, its creatures and their habitats.

    Tranca Elementary School in is full support in the advocacy of the campaign


    which is environment restoration. As part of the said celebration, last April 15, 2021,
    “Tree Planting Activity” was held within school premises which featured planting of
    21 native and flowering trees. The said activity mainly believed that trees help to
    warfare global warming by absorbing carbon dioxide, removing and storing carbon
    while releasing oxygen back into the air. Also, the fact they help to prevent flooding
    and soil erosion, by absorbing thousands of liters of storm water.

    The said activity also foresees that trees can bring people together. By
    planting more trees, it will contribute to global reforestation efforts which will be a
    great help, as you can see, humans, animals and the environment depend upon trees
    for survival. 

    Herein attached the pictures of evidences on how the school officials


    including school head, teachers and PTA Officers showcase their immeasurable
    efforts to support environment renovation.
