Round 80 Round 104
Fasten off leaving a long tail
for sewing.
Sew the head to the body,
slightly turning to the side
and tilting the head forward.
The nose should look in
the direction where we
knitted 12 slip stitch
in the last row.
7
Legs:( make 4)
Start with a grey yarn.
Work in continuous rounds. Mark the first stitch of the round, you can use contrast yarn for this.
Note that the last two rounds are different for the two left and two right feet!

R1: 6 sc in magic ring (6).

R2: inc in each st (12). * Back Post Single Crochet
R3: [1 sc, inc] x 6 (18). ** Cluster stitch

R4: [2 sc, inc] x 6 (24).
R5: [3 sc, inc] x 6 (30).
R6: [9 sc, inc] x 3 (33). Fasten and cut the grey yarn, continue the next row with a pink yarn.
R7: bpsc* in each st (33).
R8: 31 sc, dec (32).
R9: 10 sc, [2 dc in cluster**] x 6, 10 sc (26).
R10-14 : sc in each st (26). Make sure that the start of the round is exactly in the middle of the
back of the leg, on the heel side (this is on the other side of the decrease in R9), if it is not, move
the beginning of the round there.
R15: 9 sc, 8 sl st, 9 sc (26).
R16: 4 sl st, 5 sc, inc hdc, 6 hdc, inc hdc, 5 sc, 4 sl st (28).
R17: 4 sl st, 5 sc, dec hdc, 6 hdc, dec hdc, 5 sc, 4 sl st (26).
R18: 9 sc, 8 sl st, 9 sc (26).
Make two legs like this: R19-20: 9 sl st, 8 sc, 7 hdc, 2 sc (26).
Make the other two legs like this: R19-20: 2sc, 7 hdc, 8sc, 9 sl st (26).
Stuff firmly. Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
8

Sew the legs symmetrically to the body, so that hdc in the last rows would be on the outside (on
the sides of the dinosaur), and sl st on the inside of the dinosaur's abdomen.
9
With grey yarn make 113 sc in the middle of the back. Start work from the end of the tail and
end on the head in round 16. Follow the intended middle of the back (the row should turn with
the dinosaur's neck).
To make it easier to do this, sew this line with a dotted with black thread (do not fasten), after you
knit the first row, you can pull out the thread.
Turn around and work back: 2 sl st, 1 sc, 1sc+1hdc+1sc in the same st, sl st, [1 sc and 1 hdc in
the same st, 1 tc in the new st, 1 ch, 1 hdc and 1 sc in the same st, sl st in the new st] x 26,
1sc+1hdc+1sc in the same st, sl st, sc, sl st. Fasten and cut the the yarn.
10
Now with yellow yarn make several circles of different sizes ( 6sc in mr, 8 hdc in mr etc. ) and sew
on the back of the dinosaur. Make some specks using the French knot technique.

How to make French knots

Watch the video as I embroider French

knot: https://youtu.be/KTsq3P5b1iU

Face

• Make 3 more French knots on the cheeks of the dinosaur.

• Sew 5 some long stitches of grey yarn between the eyes on the dinosaur's nose.
• To make the eyes of the dinosaur more expressive from each eye towards the cheek, make 1
stitch with black thread, and around the eye a couple of stitches with white thread.
• Embroider eyebrows: make 2 stitches symmetrically in the 14th round with a length of 3 sc.

Congratulations! Your Сute Diplodocus is ready! You did a great job!

11
NOTE
Make to finish stitch in the row invisible.

• Cut the yarn off leaving long end.

• Pull the hook up all the way to unravel the loop on your
hook and thread the yarn end on the embroidery needle.
• Insert the needle underneath the top (both loops-front
and back) of first stitch.
• Pull the yarn through to the back but not too tight.
• Go back and insert the needle underneath the back loop
only of the last stitch made in this round.

Invisible Decrease Method

Step 1: To make a stitch, insert your hook under the front loop of the first stitch, then
under the front loop of the second stitch (You will have three loops on your hook).

Step 2: Yarn over hook and pull the yarn through the first two loops.

Step 3: Yarn over and pull through both loops. You`ll barely be able to see your decreases.
