ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We extend are sincere thanks to all those who helped us in the completion of this project.
Without their undying help and guidance, this project would not be what it is. We specially
extend my heartfelt thanks to my faculty guide Ms. Pooja Sharma for helping us at every
step, and guiding us in every way possible. This project would not have been successful
without her help and continuous guidance throughout. We also extend our appreciation
towards our family who encouraged us and were by our side whenever we needed them.

PREFACE
Training is the essence for practical orientation of the professional studies undertaken and
without practical training one cannot understand the real basic and theoretical in practice and
everything just goes in vain. Project training forms an integral component of any professional
courses like management courses viz. PGDM. A trainee faces live problem in the industries
and in the. In the institution where one person pursues his studies cannot provide him
practical knowledge on all aspects of learning often the studies is said to be incomplete until
the student has been exposed to this practice. The theoretical studies build manager in
him/her by providing pools of knowledge whereas the practical applications make him agile
and component. If theoretical knowledge teaches him/her the principal and policies the
practical exposes tell him how to apply these principles.

Chapter-1 Introduction
Business analytics is the practice of using data, statistical and quantitative analysis, and
predictive modelling to make informed business decisions. It involves gathering data from
various sources, cleaning and organizing it, analysing it, and using the insights gained to
The awareness and perception of business analytics have been increasing in recent years, as
businesses of all sizes are recognizing the importance of using data to drive decision-making.
With the increasing availability of big data and advanced analytics tools, companies can now
analyse large amounts of data to gain insights into customer behaviour, market trends, and
operational efficiency.
Moreover, as competition in various industries becomes more intense, companies are turning
identify opportunities for growth and innovation, optimize their processes, and improve their
overall performance.
Overall, the awareness and perception of business analytics are becoming increasingly
positive as more and more companies recognize its importance in today's data-driven
business environment.

(B) Research Methodology
Research can be defined as “a scientific and systematic search for pertinent information in
any branch of knowledge’. It is the pursuit of truth with the help of study, observation,
comparison and experiment. Research is, thus, an original contribution to the existing stock
of knowledge making for its advancement.
The main of the project was to find out the student awareness & perception toward business
analytical and research with respect to JAIPUR(Rajasthan). The opinions of the students were
taken through online platform and information was collected from the students.
RESEARCH DESIGN
A research design is a logical and systematic plan prepared for directing a research study. It
specifies the methodology and technique to be adopted for achieving the objectives. It
constitutes the blueprint for the collection, measurement and analysis of data.
Exploratory Research
Descriptive Research
Casual Research
Since data collection method is from surveys, hence Descriptive type of research is used for
analysis of the data. The study was descriptive in nature because it depicts characteristics or
functions of the population. It describes the number, distribution and socio-economic
characteristics of potential students towards Business analytics
SAMPLING TECHNIQUES
Simple Random Sampling- In a simple random sample of a given size, all such subsets of the
frame are given an equal probability. Each element of the frame thus an equal probability of
selection: the frame is not subdivided or partitioned. Furthermore, any given pair of elements
has the same chance of selection as any other such pair (and similarity for triples and so on).
7
The minimizes bias and simplifies analysis of results. In particular, the variance between
individual results within the sample is a good indicator of variance in the overall population,
which makes it relatively easy the accuracy of results.
SAMPLE SIZE
For further research questionnaire was filled by the 100 random people who were little
familiar about business analytical.
In dealing with any research problem, it is often found the data at are inadequate, and hence it
becomes necessary to collect the data that are appropriate. The task for data collection begins
after a research problem has been defined and research design chalked out.
Primary Data
The primary data are those which are collected afresh and for the first time and thus happen
to be original in character collection of primary data. There are several methods of collecting
primary data, particularly in surveys and descriptive research.
Observation Method
Interview Method
Through Questionnaire
QUESTIONNAIRE
The method of data collection is quite popular, particular in case of big enquires. In this
method, questionnaire is sent or given to the persons concerned with a request to answer the
questions and return the questionnaire.
Data collection has been done through giving structured questionnaire and close-ended
questionnaire. This study will be based on Sampling.
8
The study was aimed at measuring the students awareness & perception toward business
analytical and research.
•Descriptive Analysis - with using Ms Excel. Mean, Median frequency of responses and
contingency tables with bar charts and pie charts will be compiled Excel.
The result of the collected data analysed by method of Microsoft excel 2013. Data will be
presented in research with the use of the bar chart and table so that the data analysed can be
clear and understandable to the reader
There was total 23 questions including both closed and open questions.
Reliability and validity are crucial aspects of research practice and the importance of these
criteria should be fully recognized by all who are engaged in survey work of any kind.

Interpretation:
In the above collected data we can see that from the total sample size of 104, 97 who are
unmarried have heard about data science and business analytics before in comparison to the 7
married who never heard about this.

From the collected data through survey we found that from sample from different educational
background have different comfort level with programming & maths and statistics &

Finding & Conclusions
From all the collected data there are some important findings-
Most of the unmarried population have heard about data science and business
analytics before.
Only students from PGDM/ MBA and B.tech background are comfortable with
programming & maths and statistics & probability.
Most of the students prefer to learn through power point presentation in comparison to
other modes of learning.
In real world scenario marketing is the field in which business analytics can be used.
Business analytics is valuable in every aspect of learning.
Out of all job profiles Business analyst’s job is mostly preferred.
