07/12/2017 , on gtving an opinion on the environmental and social impact
assessment study for the above project, and further to our letter no.
(KEPAI G.W 4717) dated,30l08l20t7 regarding the scoping reporl which
is developed by National Petroleum Services Co. (attached);

We note you that the competent departments in the Environment public

Authority has reviewed the provided study, and accordingly, it sees the
necessity to comply with the Environment protection Law No. 42 of20l4
issued on "Al Kuwait Al Yawm" Gazette, Edition I 192, July 2014 and its
amendments, as well as complying with all the provisions, regulations
and executive resolutions issued for such law.

All the recommendations, mitigation procedures and the environmental

management and control plan for eliminating the negative environmental
impacts included in the environmental permit developed by National
Petroleum Services Co, should be implemented, in addition to the
following:

l. The application of the following engineering and environmental

requirements within the various phases ofthe project, which have
been issued under the resolution no,2 of 2017 in the executive
regulation in "Al Kuwait Al Yawm" gazefie, edition 1332, on
2U03t2017
To comply with Article (36) on the requirements, specifications
arrd general rules in the oil and gas sector activities.

To comply with Article (37) on the requirements, specifications

and qualitative rules in the oil and gas sector activities.

2. To comply with Resolution No. 6 of 2017 on lhe executive

regulation regarding the management of the hazardous, medical
and municipal solid wastes and sludge, issued in .,Al Kuwait Al
Yawm" Gazette, appendix of edition 1344, dated, ll/0612017,
particularly the appendices nos. (3) and (4) on stating the hazardous
and non-hazardous wastes hansport, treatment and landfilling.

3. To comply with Resolution (7) of20l7 on the executive regulation

for the management of the environmental data, issued in ,.At
Kuwait Al Yawm" Gazette, appendix of Edition 1347 , dated
02107 /2017 .

4. To comply with Articles (4, 5, 6,7 and 8) of the Resolution No. 8

of 2017 on the executive regulation of protecting the extemal air
from the pollution, issued in ,.Al Kuwait Al Vawm,, Gazette,
appendix ofedition 1345, dated t\l06/2017.

5. To comply with separating all the recyclable materials according

to their categories from paper, glass, plastic, wood, food stufi
original wastes and scrap metals.

6. To provide reports for following-up the quantity and types ofthe

generated wastes during the operation phase, including copies of
the contracts concluded with the contracted companies for
recycling, disposal and transpoft during the transport operations of
the wastes in all types, in addition to a copy ofthi wastes
