Company Background

 LALA Chocolate Started on the Year 1979


 Lala Chocolates is the invention of her father, Salvacion Belaro. From Bicol,
his family moved to Manila, and then set up shop in Bulacan. In a barong-
barong, he started making molido, a delicacy from Bicol made with kamote and
sugar, before conjuring up Lala.
 Why Lala you may ask? It’s an acronym of his four children, Louie, Arlet,
Luisa, and Arlene. When the product hit relative success, they named their fifth
child after the chocolate: Lala.

Marketing Mix:
Product: Lala Milky Chocolate is an affordable yet high-quality chocolate treat
from the Philippines. It does not melt easily making it a perfect treat even
during warm weather. In the Philippines, people do not refrigerate this to keep
its shape. It tastes sweet but has the distinct taste of chocolate. The good
thing about Lala milky chocolate is, it is not fat-based, so no oil is
incorporated. It is purely made of cocoa and milk. 

Price: The Price Ranges from 5-6 Pesos per pack, 72 pesos per 12 pcs.

Market: Our target markets are children and all age groups, but most of all, to be
aimed is become the largest manufacturer of chocolates in the whole
PHILIPPINES. The customers to whom our products will be supplied as retailers,
wholesalers, and traders not only in Bulacan but also in the whole Philippines.

One of the Political factors that might affect our marketing strategy would be, Tax
policy, if we are going to promote our product through advertisements and on different
social media platforms the taxes would be the maximum rate on income subject to final
tax (usually passive investment income) is 20% which also leads to increase of the price
of our product.

Since we are promoting our product and selling LALA Chocolates, the economic
factor that affects our business would be inflation and interest rates, According to
the Philippine Statistics Authority, the YOY inflation rate for sugar, confectionery,
and desserts was 37 percent, and the highest inflation rate for all items in the
consumer price index or CPI as of March 2023.

Environmental Scanning: Social Factor


The social factor that might affect our Chocolate Business would be age
distribution since our target market is children, there are a lot of competitors in
the market selling the same product which would be hard to compete and
advertise in the Market.

Technological Factor factors Production techniques, information and
communication resources, production, logistics, marketing, and e-commerce
technologies are examples of technological factors. These influence how a
company operates sells its products, interacts with, and gathers information
about its customers, suppliers, and competitors.

Environmental Scanning: Legal Factor


Food poisoning may result in Legal factors, Chocolate has been associated with
foodborne outbreaks including Salmonella and Escherichia coli. Outbreaks related
to chocolate are rare, but the combination of various ingredients and the
resistant nature of pathogens like Salmonella elevates the risk. So in every pack of
chocolate that we released, we assure the consumers that our products are clean
and safe to eat following to Section 14 of the Sanitation Code of the Philippines.

Environmental Scanning: Environmental Factor

Climate Change has been one of the major problem that is affecting our business,
since our main ingredient on making our product is Cocoa, Cocoa productivity has
rapidly declined due to climate change, pests and poor soil health, as well as
consumer demands for sustainable cocoa necessitating increased investment in
its production. A growing number of smallholders have abandoned cocoa
production.
