The Internet
Definition
The Internet, sometimes simply called "the network," is a worldwide system of
computer networks—a network of networks in which users on any computer can,
if they have permission, obtain information from (and sometimes talk directly to)
any other computer. users on other computers). It was created by the Advanced
Research Projects Agency (ARPA) of the US government in 1969 and was first
known as ARPANET. The original goal was to create a network that would allow
users of a research computer at one university to "talk" to research computers at
other universities. A side benefit of the ARPANet design was that because
messages could be routed or rerouted in more than one direction, the network
could continue to function even if parts of it were destroyed in the event of a
military attack or another disaster.
Leased line:
: A leased line is a dedicated phone line used to connect to the internet. A leased line
is used by big organizations. Some universities still use a leased line for making a
connection to the internet.

Definition
A browser is a software or computer application that, through a graphical
interface, allows users to navigate or browse the web using hyperlinks and URLs.
The browser communicates with servers using the HTTP language, receives files
in HTML code, translates them, and displays them to the user on the screen.
Mozilla Firefox:
In second place among the most used browsers and very far from the first, we
find Mozilla Firefox with 10% of users. The main feature of this browser is the
presence of free and open source software, which makes it more positive in terms
of privacy, it is also one of the preferred by computer programmers.
Internet Explorer:
It is developed by Microsoft, in its origins, it was the most used search engine in
the world because it was the browser that was installed by default in the Windows
operating system. However, the emergence of competitors and some features
that did not convince users caused the number of users to drop drastically and
currently does not exceed 7%.
Safari:

The last browser on our list is software designed by Apple for the Mac OS
operating system and later for iPhone phones, it has always stood out for its
very polished design.
Search Engine
Definition
A search engine is a software system designed to perform web searches. They
systematically search the World Wide Web for specific information specified in a
text search query on the Web. Search results are generally presented in a series
of results, often referred to as search engine results pages (SERPs). When a user
enters a query into a search engine, the machine searches its index of web pages
to find those relevant to the user's query. The results are then sorted by relevance
and displayed to users. Information can be a combination of links to websites,
images, videos, infographics, articles, research papers, and other types of files.
Some search engines also mine data available in databases or open directories.
Bing
6
Bing is Microsoft's answer to Google and was launched in 2009. Bing is the
default search engine in Microsoft's web browser. Bing is always trying to be a
better search engine, but it still has a long way to go to give Google competition.
Microsoft's search engine provides a variety of services including image, web,
and video searches along with maps. Bing introduced Places (Google's
equivalent of Google My Business), a great platform for businesses to submit
their data to optimize search results.
Yahoo
Yahoo and Bing compete more with each other than with Google. A recent report
on netmarketshare.com tells us that Yahoo has a market share of 7.68 percent.
Despite being the leader in the free email provider space, that number is dropping
significantly though with their recent confirmation that user data and passwords
were hacked last year.
Baidu
Baidu is the most used search engine in China and was founded in January 2000
by Chinese entrepreneur Eric Xu. This web search is used to provide results for
web pages, audio files, and images. It provides some other services including
maps, reports, cloud storage, and much more.
