16/06/2019 “We set out tonight to scout locations for future Milky Way shots knowing that
we might find a good full moon rising shot as well. Our theme for both the
Robert Gallucci Milky Way and Moon shot was Saguaro cactus. We could take any shot we
@rgallucci wanted, so long as there was at least one of these iconic southern Arizona high
desert cactus in it. What we did not expect was a United Airlines flight passing
Canon EOS 5D Mark IV | 800mm | right in front of the moon as we were shooting. The perfect shot would have
ƒ/8 | 1/400s | ISO 200 had the moon and the plane centered over the cactus, but life is rarely that
perfect. For me getting all the elements together was a blessing beyond my
expectations. I am awed each day by the spectacular surprises He presents to
me. I humbly remain His scribe. About this photo: Shooting with an 800mm
lens from a mile away allowed me to create the large moon over the horizon
perspective. The image is cropped from the original, but the moon, plane, and
foreground are precisely as they were when captured”

people coming and going to capture their own photos.
I took several photos, but this one is the one I liked most, as I could also capture
the sunburst. After few minutes, the sun was hidden by the haze, and it wasn’t
possible to get the sunburst.“

Moonmaster “July 16 Moonrise, just when the lunar eclipse was start-
13/11/2019 ing. It’s visible in the left side of the moon. Even the sheep
wanted to see it, sneaking in the frame. The shooting
Miguel Ángel Avi García distance was 800m (2600ft).”

cagua. I had to wait more than a year since I took the first
Pedro Desriviers Mellado photo of the moon over Aconagua to happen again. And
@pedrodesriviers thanks to PhotoPills, I was able to find the exact location
and time to see this magnificent show.”

Kertu task. Neither is running with a tripod and long lens. But as
@kertu.ee they say… all well that ends well. It was all worth it.“
