RESEARCH ABSTRACT GROUP 1

1.The effects of online games on academic performance among ACLC College of Baliuag students
in grade 12 were the focus of the study. This study sought to ascertain the effects of internet
gaming on ACLC students in grade 12.

There were one hundred (100) responses, both men and women, from the General Academic
Stream (GAS) of Academic Tracks.

The study's design was descriptive, and the researcher created the questionnaire using a Likert
scale. Each criterion was counted and divided by the total number of tallies for all criteria after
responses were gathered from the surveys distributed to the respondents. The quotient was then
translated to a percentage.

2. The effects of online games on Grade 12 students in the ACLC were the criteria utilized to
evaluate the outcome. The study's findings indicated that playing online games has a negative
impact on students in grade 12's academic performance. According to a study, online gaming has
a significant negative impact on students' academic performance, which can result in poor or low
grades as well as physical suffering. The majority of respondents agreed that playing online
games had a detrimental impact on their studies and health. They discovered that the pupils
struggle to concentrate in class, struggle to complete their homework and projects, and receive
poor grades.

3. The researchers draw the conclusion that a lot of students playing online games may have a
detrimental impact on their academic achievement based on the overall result. Additionally,
parents, teachers, and students should limit the amount of time spent playing online games
because doing so could affect students' ability to concentrate on their studies. Students should
exercise restraint when playing online games even though they might still complete their
academic assignments successfully. Online gaming should not take precedence over more
important and practical priorities.
