MEET ASIMO THE ROBOT
This is Asimo, the famous humanoid robot from Japan. Its creator is Honda. There are about 40
Asimo robots in the world today. They are visiting many places, like England, China, Switzerland, and
the United States.
Asimo is about 130 cm tall and weighs 54 kg. This robot can do many things. It can walk, run,
play soccer, and dance. Also, it can recognize moving objects, gestures, faces and sounds. It can´t
read, but it can see. It has two cameras in its head (visual sensors), a rechargeable lithium-ion
battery, and a three-dimensional computer processor. In addition, Asimo understands its name.
Asimo is really smart. It is teaching students all over the world about science and robots.
