LESSON PLAN IN MTB I

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson , the pupils will be able to:

 identifies adjective in a phrase or sentence

 uses adjective in a phrase or sentence; and

 show the importance of adjective.

II. Subject Matter


Topic: Adjectives
References: MTB (Teacher's Guide) and MTB (Learners
Materials)
Materials: PowerPoint Presentation
Values Integrated: Cooperation
III. Procedures
A. Awareness

 Greetings
The teacher will greet the learners.

 Prayer
The teacher will call one of her students to lead the prayer.

 Attendance
The teacher will check the attendance.

 Classroom rules
The teacher will remind the students regarding the classroom
rules.
 Review
The teacher will ask the students about their previous lesson.

 Motivation
The teacher motivates the pupils by asking the following questions
:
>Have you ever tried covering your eyes with a
handkerchief?
>How did you feel it?

B. Activity
The teacher prepared a box containing of genuine objects. Call pupils
to perform the task. Cover the eyes of the pupils by a handkerchief.
Let them pick an object inside the box and let them guess the object
by describing the object they are holding according to its shape, size,
color, smell and taste of the object. Write the phrase or sentence
mentioned by the pupils on the board and let them remove the
handkerchief after.

C. Analysis
Examine the phrase or sentence written in the board.
Call pupils to underline the words that describe the object.

Ask:
What are the underlined words?
What do you call these words?
What are those words do to the object?

D. Abstraction
What is an adjective?
Is it important? Why?

E. Application
Pick the fruits in the mango tree with adjective words and give a
phrase using the adjective given.

IV. Assessment
Underline each adjective in the sentences given below.
1. The pomelo fruit is sour.
2. He is reading his new book.
3. They are playing in the wide playground.
4. The box is square.
5. Father drinks hot coffee every morning.

V. Assignment
Draw the following.

1. Red flower
2. Ripe mango
3. Hot soup
4. Short pencil
