STEM B. This report shares our journey, highlighting the challenges we faced, the skills we developed,
and the important lessons we learned. Through this experience, we discovered how physical education
fosters discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship. As volleyball officials, we went beyond being
spectators, ensuring fairness, enforcing rules, and creating a fair environment. We learned about the
complexities of the game and the significance of maintaining a level playing field. This report explores
the specific aspects of our officiating experience, including making decisions under pressure, resolving
conflicts, and ensuring player safety. We improved our communication, adaptability, and leadership
skills, which were essential in handling each game's unique situations. Our narrative reflects personal
growth and development through physical education, emphasizing its value in promoting fitness and life
skills beyond sports. Join us as we share our journey, aiming to inspire others to embrace the personal
and social opportunities provided by physical education.
For the first match, we had the Group 1 and Group 3 to battle for the championship match slot.
The battle between them was quite one-sided. The group 1 players are quite good in serving and
controlling the ball while the group 3 players are having errors in receiving and serving the ball. For this
match the Group 1 won. For the second match, we had the Group 4 and Group 5 to battle for the last
slot for the championship match. The battle between the two teams are quite close but the Group 5 still
managed to get the win over the Group 4. For final match, the Group 1 and 5 battled for the
championship. The battle between the two teams are intense. The group 1 played very well in their
defense and offense but they are having errors in serving the ball. The Group 2 played very well in their
services but for their defense and offense, they lack chemistry that leads to some errors. In the end, the
Group 1 clinched the championship and won their 3rd championship match making them a three-peat
champion.
All together, we, group 2, the officiators, witnessed the skills and abilities that each group
showed. Volleyball is not easy to play, and it is really a tiring game, but if a group has teamwork and
trusts each other's abilities, they will win. And also as officiators, it was tiring and we felt nervous since it
was our first time to officiate a game, and although we made mistakes such as not being prepared when
scoring and a lack of whistles, red flags, and other materials we needed, we still enjoyed the game and
learned from the mistakes that we made. Those mistakes serve as our lesson and motivation to do a
better job next time.
We were impressed by the teamwork and sportsmanship of all the players. They were all very
supportive of each other, even when they were playing against each other. We also saw how important
communication is in volleyball. The players were constantly talking to each other, calling out where they
were and what they were doing. This helped them to work together as a team and play more effectively.
Overall, we had a great experience officiating the volleyball game. We learned a lot and we had a lot of
fun. In addition to the teamwork and sportsmanship that we saw, we were also impressed by the skill
level of the players. They were all very talented and they played with a lot of passion.
