Pre-Assessment
Pre-Assessment:

This for the purpose of knowing your prior knowledge on the terms, skills, and level of
Understanding of Team Sports. Follow the directions carefully and write your answers in
your activity notebook.

1. On the next page is a table indicating skills in playing basketball, baseball and softball.
Identify which of the sport is appropriate for each of the skills indicated in the table is
appropriately used.

2. Write the corresponding team sport in the space provided at the right side of the column for
basic skills.

3. After answering the column on the table, choose one team sport and describe creatively.
Make a short description why you choose that team sport. If you happened to play or a member
of a team of your selected sport, write your experience from training and your participation in a
competition.

The chosen one team sport that i choose is basketball. In my highschool days I didn't part of a
basketball team I'm one of the cheerer during the game, every time my team has a game me
and my friends always watch the game. When we arrive at the event place we take a sit in the
bleachers and start watching, in the said place you will expected the noise and the cheer of the
other team. While watching the game inevitably get hurt in the basketball game. You will see
how to pass, shoot and dribble a ball. In the end of the game there will be a winner and a loser.

a. What do team sport mean to you? For me, team sport mean it's played by two or more people. A
group game consists of any game which entails gamers running collectively toward a shared objective. A
group recreation is an hobby wherein a set of individuals, at the equal group, paintings collectively to
perform an last aim that's typically to win. This may be completed in some of methods along with
outscoring the opposing crew. Team participants set goals, make decisions, communicate, manipulate
conflict, and resolve issues in a supportive, trusting surroundings so that it will accomplish their
objectives. This may be visible in quantity of methods consisting of outscoring the opposing group. Team

b. What values or virtues can team sports develop in you? The values or virtues can team sports
develop in me is teamwork, is a treasured existence talent they could study thru collaborating in sports.
Being a part of a group teaches youths to study and construct more potent bonds whilst education and
gambling as one. Respect, one value that is highly important in sports today is the value of respect and
sportsmanship. Through playing against other individuals and teams, the youths learn the value of
respecting the rules and the players of the sport. This helps them to learn how to achieve their goals in
the right way, teaching important life lessons about this value. Confidence and Leadership skills.

c. What benefits can you derive from participating in team sports? Benefis can derive from
participating in team sports are Develops Self-Esteem,a high-five, pat on the back, thumbs up, or even a
nod of approval – these are simple gestures that can help build confidence. Regular Exercise, exercise
does, after all, sound like work. But go out and play with friends, and you won’t get an argument. When
playing sports, we probably don’t even realize how much healthier we are becoming. Teaches
Leadership Skills, while team sports require team effort, we still learn about leadership. We learn about
responsibility as they recognize the vital roles on play on the team. Teamwork, the ability to work well
with others is a skill that youth athletes will learn playing sports and they will bring it with them
throughout their entire lives. Stronger Relationships,because of the social aspect of team sports, we
learn how to handle themselves better in social situations. We develop a sense of camaraderie and
community, allowing to maintain and nurture stronger relationships. Other benefits are stronger
relationship, better communicatiors, teaches respect and time management.
