Caution 1:Exercise CARE IN HANDLING RV's at all times appropriate for such a delicate mechanism. Do not drop or jar, avoid stressing the RV
body and parts, protect flanges and nozzles. Store/transport RVs in a vertical position, & thoroughly secure during transport. Cover flanges,
threads & nozzles with tape or special plastic plugs to protect the RVs from dirt and mechanical damage during storage and transport . Forward
handling (safety) concerns to Project Quality Control Mgr. for action.
Caution 2:General condition of TEST relief valves is closely monitored due to frequent handling & testing/adjustment. Wear and
corrosion of parts shall require service attention by qualified trained technicians. To assure safety for test crews & personnel on projects, give
special attention during visual examination to inlet/outlet nozzle conditions (corrosion, damage), caps, stems, adjusting screws and bolting. Reject
any relief valve found to be visually unacceptable and require repair/replacement as needed.
