    SAIP 2020 - 2ND AMENDMENT NOTIFICATION
    In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 in the West Bengal Incentive Scheme 2020 for Approved
    Industrial Park (commonly referred to as SAIP) under Memo No. 1890/MSMET-18099/7/2020 dated 16/9/2020 for
    Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, and on the basis of the recommendations from industrial associations/ councils
    and industrial park developers and on being satisfied that it is necessary to facilitate and expedite creation of a large
    number of new industrial parks by the private developers, the Governor of West Bengal is hereby pleased to sanction a
    few amendments and additions in the said scheme as delineated hereunder:
    1. Amendments: The following section of the SAIP 2020 scheme read with Amendment Memo No 2297/MSMET-
    18099/7/2020 dated 20th Sept, 2021 stands amended as below–
    Section 6 (VI)
    The minimum land area required for development of an AIP in any district of West Bengal will be 5 acre.
    2. Additions: The following sections are added to the SAIP 2020 scheme read with Amendment Memo No 2297/
    MSMET-18099/7/2020 dated 20th Sept, 2021
    Section 6 (XXI)
    Any private developer, who will procure minimum 5 acre Government land on LTS for developing Industrial
    Park for setting up of MSMEs, may also be allowed to apply for approval under SAIP.
    Section 6 (XXII)
    MSME & T Department may also offer any unutilized Government land of 5 acre, or, more in one place, to
    any eligible private developer through open advertisement for developing new MSME Industrial Parks under
    SAIP 2020. The Developer shall have to initiate time bound process for developing the Parks as per timeline
    mentioned in the clauses 6 (XIV) & 6(XV) of SAIP, 2020.
