Logic Circuits and Design Course Outline 311

This document outlines a course on logic circuits and design. The course covers both combinational and sequential logic circuits with an emphasis on solving digital problems using hardware structures. Over the first 7 weeks, students will learn about basic combinational circuits like decoders, encoders, multiplexers, demultiplexers, and memory circuits. They will review Boolean algebra and digital logic, study the diagrams, truth tables and functions of basic logic gates. The course aims to define the operations of these circuits and analyze and design synchronous and asynchronous sequential circuits.
