- Draft an appropriate introduction
- Decide whether to write in Past Tense or Present Tense
- Plan your writing – Introduction, Body, Closure
- *Brainstorm the related vocabularies

3. Organise your content

- If the CR is in the form of a question, answer it as usual.
- If the CR is only written as part of a sentence, then build sentences using it as object or
subject
- Include elaboration

** Use different word to start every sentence in a paragraph. (using the same word is
boring) OR
** Use a transition word or words. For example, using in addition links the sentence you
are writing now and the sentence before it. It avoids he use of ‘I’ to start two sentences
in a row.

Example:

I believe that working will help me develop new skills.

SAMPLE ESSAY
Sharing Planet Restaurant Review

Written by: Dorothy Liew

Good news to all the food hunters out there! The Sharing Planet Restaurant has
taken Malaysia by storms and has been the talk of the town ever since it was opened last
week. The restaurant is one of its largest chain outlets in Malaysia and has superior touch to
it.

Located in the middle of the city of Petaling Jaya, it serves an extensive range of
tantalizing and mouth-watering American dishes at a reasonable and affordable price. This
ranges from typical nachos, French fires to more elaborated meals like home-made steak.
The thing that caught my eyes is their dessert – Tou Fu Fah Cheese Cake. This rare cheese
cake is a soy-based dessert, garnished with a wide array of toppings such as grass jelly and
Vietnamese black pearls. I believe it is their signature dessert as it has a very satisfying taste.
There is nothing more pleasant than having a scoop of this cheese cake.

Another plus point for this restaurant is the ambience of the interior arrangements.
The atmosphere in this restaurant is very refreshing as it gives me a peace of mind. If you are
a film buff, you will definitely fall in love with this restaurant as it is quipped and decorated
with famous movie posters. On top of that, it is also spacious, hygiene, and neat. There is
also an outdoor terrace where customers can enjoy the epic view of the sunset.

As aforementioned, I would definitely recommend the Sharing Planet Restaurant to

every Tom, Dick and Harry out there. Who are seeking for good food to savour! I come
across this gem while I was in the middle of SPM trial exam. I would rate this restaurant five
out of five for its food, ambience and first-class service. I hope everyone will have a
wonderful experience there.
