A. Reviewing previous Drill:
lesson or presenting Let pupils count using counters from 1 up to 100

B. Establishing a
purpose for the lesson Show the class a set of leaves placed on a “bilao”. Ask
them how they can count the leaves as fast as they can.
Possible answer: We can group the leaves by tens.

leaves.
Group the leaves into sets of tens.
How many tens are there? What is the remaining
number?
Show 58 leaves. Let the pupils count the leaves.
Ask, what is the fast way in counting this leaves?

D. Discussing new
concepts and Let the pupils get their counters. Guide them to count the
practicing new skills number of counters and let them group by ten and ask,
