III. Reading

Our favourite places


Three teenagers tell us about their favourite places.
I visit the skate park with my friends. It’s free but it sometimes gets busy at weekends. You must
wear a helmet and you can’t skateboard if it’s raining. You mustn’t eat in the park, but there’s a
small shop outside the park where people can have a snack. I don’t because when I’m not on my
skateboard, I usually take photos of the skateboarders for my blog. – Anika

I go to the juice bar after school with my classmates. There isn’t much space, but there are a lot of
healthy juices and they also serve fresh salads. The juices are very big and very tasty. Some have
fruit in them, and others have vegetables. My favourite is banana and melon. We often stay there
for hours chatting, but we always drink very slowly! – Jordi

Once a week I go with my best friend to the shopping centre. It’s a good place for us to go when
it’s raining. We usually look at clothes, but sometimes we look at books or cameras. There are a
variety of restaurants if we get tired looking at clothes. Sometimes we donate our old clothes to a
charity shop – then we buy more clothes!
