    The PL fleet is an environmentally friendly fishing gear but the number of
    active PL fleets is decreasing from year to year even in 2021 and 2022
    in West Papua and Maluku there will be no PL fleets operating

    The PL fleet continues to decline, but actually the income shows that it is
    greater than the expenditure which indicates welfare, so it needs to be
    supported so that it should continue to improve

    It is difficult to catch fish like


    this, we can only watch
    because it is challenging to
    compete with their more
    effective fishing gear.

    On the same access to fishery resources,


    efforts (fishing gear) with limitations
    (traditional and environmentally friendly)
    should be supported in various aspects to
    achieve equality and ensure the sustaining
    one by one tuna fisheries.

    Aligning AP2HI goals to support government goals under RPJMN:

    Increase Index Kesejahteraan Rakyat from 59 to 63


    Increase fishery contribution to GDP from 7.9 to 8.7%
    Increase export value from Export value from 6 to 8 USD Billion
    Increase proportion of fisheries that are within biological limits from
    64 to 80%
    Increase number of WPPs that are examples of good governance from
    3 to 11
    Increase percentage of stakeholders that are compliant with fishing
    regulations from 94 to 98%
