This study analyzed the relationship between COVID-19 deaths and recoveries per country using data from 212 countries as of May 8, 2020. The results found a strong positive correlation (r=0.766) between the two variables, indicating that as deaths increase in a country, recoveries also tend to increase. The correlation was statistically significant.

2. METHODOLOGY
This paper utilizes a correlational quantitative
research design. This will test the correlation
coefficient to determine a relationship between
two variables. Pearson r was used to analyze the
data and to determine the correlation. SPSS
software was used for the analysis and results. The
data was acquired from Worldmeter, and data is
until May 8, 2020 [2]. There 212 countries
selected in this correlational analysis.

Fig 2. Data of Countries Deaths and
Recoveries from Worldmeter

The figure above indicates the data of the

deaths and recoveries per country. This data was
acquired from Worldmeter as of May 8, 2020.
There were three columns in the above table – the
table one shows the data of the countries in the
world, the second columns illustrate the deaths
per country, and the last column indicates the
recoveries per country. The above data specifies
that as recoveries increase, the deaths also
increase, but there are also countries where they
have recoveries, but they were no deaths. There
are also four countries that have no recoveries and
deaths.
