ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT on school-based management for s.y. 2022-2023

A. BEST PRACTICE TITLE: BRIGADA PAGBASA: PROJECT REA COM (Read and Comprehend)

B. OBJECTIVES
This project aims to:
a) To equip participants with an awareness of School Based Management (SBM) to support
school;
b) To enrich participants skills so as to improve their school performance and student’s
achievements;
c) To increase the performance level of the learners at least up to 75% reading AGproficiency level
through conduct of intervention, enhancement, and reinforcement activities,
d) To provide appropriate instructional materials/ teaching aids suited to the content

C. GAPS/ ISSUES TO BE ADDRESSED

Project ReaCom (Read & Comprehend) aims to improve reading comprehension skills and increase the
reading level of KS1 and KS2 students through collaborative process of the teacher, parents, and learners. As
perceived in the previous performance of pupils in English, it showed that it has the low reading level among
all other subject area, that is why the school planned to have a program that will address the needs of the
learners.

D. IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS

PART I
1. Project REA COM orientation among colleagues
2. Mapping of volunteers and learners
3. Orientation of Project REA COM volunteers anchoring in the school reading program
4. Preparation of activities, reading materials and deploying on the mapping.

PART II
1. Lecture on teaching beginning reading and drills
2. Pre-test among selected participants both in English and Filipino
3. Distribution of printed reading
4. Literacy mapping and home visitation were conducted by the teachers to monitor the pupils individual
reading progress.
5. Preparation of progress report and evaluation of reading performance

PART III – MONITORING AND EVALUATION


Validating results through progress report throughout the year.

E. RESULTS/IMPACT
1. Successful implemented Brigada Pagbasa PROJECT REA COM
2. Several books and school supplies were donated to the school.
3. Volunteers participated in the program of the school
4. Stakeholders engaged with the program of the school
5. A total of sixty (60) struggling readers were remediated during the Project REA COM
6. Improvement of the reading skills among the struggling readers were
7. evident during the duration of the program.

F. LESSONS LEARNED
Educational outcome for this PROJECT REA COM always provides quality education and service to
learners. Likewise, looking for potential partners and sponsors that would support the program. Dr. Alfredo
Pio de Roda Elementary School opted to help the learners achieve their dreams in life and develop their
knowledge, skills, competencies and attitudes. The school never stopped continuously look for potential
partners that can help on the improvement of the projects.
With the help of the school head, teachers, and supportive stakeholders, the school was able to
implement the program effectively and efficiently. The school was able to aid learners struggling in reading.
Aside from that, there were stakeholders who donated school supplies and kits for the learners which
significantly contributed to the learning process of the learners and to the performance of teachers as well.
Through the collaborative effort of these individuals, the school foresees the effective delivery of education for
the school year 2022-2023.
It is being said that quality schools reflect quality learners that is why Dr. Alfredo Pio de Roda
Elementary School is determined to provide learners with the skills they needed for their future. With that,
the school is aiming to continue what has been started in bringing excellence to its program and projects.
