1) You read the title of a science article stating : ‘ Drinking red wine
shows to increase intelligence’’.What conclusions,if any,can you
come to about this article. answer: According to the article ,drinking wine can active more grey matter in the brain than listening to music and solding maths equations. I find this opinion controversial.Foremost,wine and intelligence are correlated.Most people who drink wine have their IQ raised does not apply to everybody but is achieved by only a few of them.The result affected by other factors can not be causation.I certainly belive that drinking wine many improve people’s physical and mental heath,but only moderation.You must learn and work to grow your knowledge,instead of drinking wine so much.Eforts matter most. 2.You are driving your motorbike and you pass through an intersection when all of a sudden, a person in the other direction runs the red light causing you to immediately break. What concept in social psychology causes us to make a judgement toward this person (10 word) The judgment make is called: Fundamental attribution error. 3.You are in a business negotiation with an important customer, and you are attempting to sell your product to them at the highest price. What concept of social psychology would you use to your advantage? (10 word.) I will use the concept of ‘‘Anchoring’’ to my advantage. 4.A student is chronically late to class. What would be the bast way to change this student’s behavior so that they start to come to class on time? The best way to change this student’s behavior so that they start to come to class on time. Set expectations and consequences for being late. -Teachers can explain to students how important it is to be on time to read and what the consequences of being late will be for them and the class. -Teachers can reward students for being on time regularly, such as receiving trust from teachers and friends or praising positive expressions in front of the class. -On the contrary, teachers should give punishments to students who are always late to class such as losing grades for attendance, not being able to take exams, cleaning labor, etc. -Teachers need to spend time talking to students to find out why they are late, maybe students have difficult problems in family matters, transportation to school to come up with the best and appropriate solution for the problem. -Teachers need to have patience, sympathy and understanding of students to be able to change students' habits, can't solve hastily every day, but must have time to solve problems. Consistently reinforce positive behaviors, provide, and support, and encourage students to develop habits of becoming better and successful in the classroom. 5.What are the two key basic factors that motivate us? (10 words) Intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. 6.Many people think groups make better decisions than individuals. What factors can lead groups to make bad decisions? Groupthink, conformity, loafing, deindividuation. 7.You are charge of a government office on public policy. Your task is to encourage people to save more money for their retirement. What strategies and/or methods would you use to influence or nudge people to save more money for the future? Strategies used: Raise public awareness,particular among young people,about the sigificance of saving money for retirement.People only start to fear something when it happens to them.Show the young some of the videos,television,stories,etc about homless people,hospitall bills,and food prices.Only by seeing the consequences do they gain awareness avvout saving for retirement. Banks and goverments must work together to enact policies that allow people to benefit from saving .As it happens, people will tend save more money. This may form a saving habit, though it is quite unrealistic. The most typical method is to change tax rates. The link between income, consumption, and savings is easy to understand in this basic model. If one’s income rises, so will own’s spending and savings.
